Human beings do not find upon earth their wished peace and happiness. Only the detachment from transitory goods and achievement of the divine love can give peace and happiness to being.
The Divine Union cannot be achieved on Earth.
Its achievement is potential particular individually.
Substantial Union: The soul achieves the individual Union through Cafh’s means. This Union continues in him even after his return to the permanent ordinary state in a substantial form by participating with the Mystical Cafh’s Body in this state of permanent Union achieved by the soul of Cafh.
Cafh, master of truth, has given the definition in an absolute way, with only one word, about the ever-existent problem of any mystic: what the Divine Union is and if this Divine Union can be achieved.
Cafh is essentially divine, and undetermined in itself. So, it manifests itself through the Mystical Body as a whole.
Cafh is a simple idea multiplied by reversibility, expanded by participation, and determined as presence manifested.
The soul becomes God in the Union. The soul remains as if deified; very subtle veils around the Superior Mind, which are the loftiest part of a being, disappear temporarily during the act of Supreme Realization, as if the Spirit absorbed and transformed entirely the soul.
Every rule aiming at achieving the Divine Union has its exception.
Certain souls never knew Meditation and others ignored Concentration but reached a perfect Union with God. Any indiscriminate imposition of these rules on everybody is to ignore that every soul is a separate world and needs its own rules and an especial development to reach the goal.
As the last step of the exercise, Consequences have a double purpose in the technical formation of the exercise.
As we said, along with the spiritual process developed in depths of the soul, the student should become self-conscious of the process, that is, he should acquire knowledge of his inner development and of the result achieved through exercise of prayer and application of the teaching to his own life.
Certainly, just the beginning of the purgative task of the soul, first step in the spiritual life of the meditator, is also the beginning of honoring the divine promise, the beginning of the Divine Union.
“My soul is tied to all souls forever. Just as God is a prisoner in the Creation, so my soul is a prisoner of its love to all souls. These souls are my life; and I am these souls.
